The Oscar-nominated writer and director Paul Thomas Anderson has been nominated to take on the Pinocchio script, previously being written by Michael Mitnick, according to an exclusive by The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie will be a live-action take on Carlo Collodi’s 1883 children’s tale.
Robert Downey Jr and his team have been working on Pinocchio for a few years, but have accelerated the project following the success of a series of live-action movies such as Maleficent and Alice In Wonderland (Disney).
Pinocchio will mark Anderson’s first film directed towards a younger audience. – AFP Relaxnews
