Deejay Hao Min from 988 bagged the bronze medal at the 8th Global Chinese Broadcasting Award organised by the China Radio and Television Association held in Beijing, China recently.

Hao Min, who helms Stand By Me (Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm) with Cheryl Lee, picked up the medal under the Programming Creativity category for her segment, Numeric Sensitivity, focusing on the usage of numbers in everyday life. She was also the only finalist from Malaysia.

“I’m quite surprised I won this award because there were about 300 nominations from Chinese radio stations across the world just for that category.

“Being the only nominee from Malaysia, it was an amazing experience. Plus this sub-segment is my content, my idea, so it feels good to be appreciated. It makes me really want to work hard in the future,” Hao Min said.

This is her second win after earning the Charming Female Announcer award at the Global Chinese Broadcasting Corporation’s Best DJ Award in 2011.
