Reese Witherspoon is set to take on the movie version of the novel Opening Belle as one of her next projects.
The actress’ company Pacific Standard will adapt Maureen Sherry Klinsky’s book for the big screen, with Witherspoon likely to star in the film, reports the Tracking Board.
Witherspoon and her Pacific Standard partner Bruna Papandrea will produce alongside Warner Bros.
The novel, which will be released later this year by Simong And Schuster, tells the story of a mother juggling family life with a career on Wall Street in 2007, in the midst of the impending global economic crisis.
The comedy, according to Variety, “is loosely based on Klinsky’s real-life experience working as a managing director at Bear Stearns.”– AFP Relaxnews
