Known as the “Goddess Of Love Songs”, Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang promises even more ballads on her new album, A Tale Of Two Rainie.

“Unlike my previous albums, A Tale Of Two Rainie features more slow songs, and focuses more on my voice and the message I want to send through my music,” Yang stated during a press conference to promote the album at Redbox, Pavillion Kuala Lumpur recently.

“I want people to be able to relate to my songs, to let them reminisce about their own life stories and experience.”

The new album consists of 10 songs and was released on Dec 12, 2014 through EMI, a sub-label of Universal Music Taiwan, which Yang joined last year.

“I’ve had a very good experience working with my new company because my colleagues are very cooperative and willing to understand me,” said Yang, who stated that she is an open person who is willing to communicate with co-workers.

The star was also happy to be able to make more decisions on her own in EMI compared to her previous company.

A Tale Of Two Rainie is the ninth solo album from the former member of now-defunct girl group 4 in Love.

Yang is also well-known for appearing in popular Taiwanese dramas such as Why Why Love, Miss No Good, and Hi My Sweetheart in 2010, for which she won the Best Leading Actress in a Television Series award at Taiwan’s 45th Golden Bell Awards.

During her visit to Malaysia on March 14, Yang also performed at a mini concert for her Malaysian fans in Wisma Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, singing four tracks from her new album and six songs from her previous albums.

Although she says that she tends to miss her fans in Malaysia, she also admits to getting homesick easily, and prefers not to travel far for work as it will be very tiring.

Still, Yang recently went to New York for a phtotoshoot for her album, and she seemed to have enjoyed her time in the bustling city.

“When I was shooting in public during the day, most passers-by didn’t even pay attention to me, so I was able to focus on the photoshoot because I didn’t feel shy doing some of the actions!” explained Yang.

On another note, Yang expressed interest in improving her English because she had some communication difficulties when she was in England for a photoshoot.

“I have already hired an English professor, because I need to use English a lot in my line of work, and I really want to be fluent in it, so I can argue with people properly!” she concluded with a laugh.
