The ‘king of the balladeers’ will be holding a concert at Genting Highlands’ Arena of Stars in mid May.
Sensational singer-songwriter, producer and composer Peabo Bryson, known for singing soft-rock ballads, soul music and R&B tunes, will give a one-night-only concert on May 16 at the Arena Of Stars in Resorts World Genting, Pahang.
Bryson, who has been in the music business since the age of 14, established himself as one of the premiere male vocalists in contemporary music of the last quarter century, with his beautifully rich voice and almost conversational vocal styles.
The multi-talented Bryson, 63, propelled to stardom after his album Reaching For The Sky struck gold, creeping into the hearts of many soul fans around the world. Bryson earned his nickname “king of the balladeers” after performing duets What You Won’t Do For Love with Natalie Cole, the daughter of Nat King Cole, and Tonight, I Celebrate My Love with the notable Roberta Flack.
The singer has also won two Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performer in 1992 and 1993 for the world-famous track Beauty And The Beast (which he sang with international star Celine Dion) from Disney’s movie of the same name, as well as for A Whole New World (from Disney’s Aladdin) with Grammy winner Regina Belle.
