From yoga instructor to RV park operator, Kristen Wiig has had some memorable roles.

HAVING made her big screen debut in Knocked Up back in 2007 – as the executive who asks Katherine Heigl’s character to lose weight, but being politically correct about it … if you know what we mean – Kristen Wiig has gone on to appear in many comedies. And then in 2011 she co-wrote Bridesmaids with her friend and headlined the film. Yay for Wiig! Here we take a look at some of her memorable roles.

Yoga instructor, Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) – The teacher who immediately takes a liking to Russell Brand’s character. At one point, she leans on Brand just because she – well – wants to.

Surgeon, Ghost Town (2008) – Pincus (Ricky Gervais) tries to find out if something unusual happened during his surgery and Wiig’s character keeps talking when he is talking, so she can – presumably – delay her answer.

Maggie Mayhem, Whip It (2009) – One of her more mature roles (just a tad). In it, she is the captain of Hurl Scouts, a roller derby team, who dishes some good advice about the game and life in general to Ellen Page’s character.

Haley Sullivan, Date Night (2010) – Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey) go to Haley’s home for a book club meeting. Needless to say, Haley is a bit eccentric.

Missy, Friends With Kids (2011) – In this one, Wiig’s character gets to hang out with Jon Hamm. Enough said.

Ruth Buggs, Paul (2011) – Even though Wiig is the girl going along for the ride with funny Brits – Simon Pegg and Nick Frost – she holds her own as Ruth, who is not at all your typical American girl.
