Zen Rooms, the young hotel aggregator had already rolled out in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka, and now can add Brazil to the list.

In an interview with Techcrunch, Zen Rooms’ co-founder Nathan Boublil explained that “We’re the first [to bring this accommodation model to Brazil] and that’s one of the reason’s we’re going now.”

Zen Rooms, which launched in November 2015, is backed by Rocket Internet. It was originally first pioneered by OYO Rooms, an Indian startup, with the aim of creating hotel networks in markets where competitors have not yet been established. An emphasis is placed on value and low-cost options with transparent prices. – AFP Relaxnews
