Six Days at the Great Southern and Golden Outback

Day 1: Arrive in Perth

Spend the day shopping at Perth’s famous Hay and Murray Street Malls and tease your palate with the many new laneway bars and restaurants in the city. If you are in luck, you can also visit a weekend farmer’s market or a catch a play at the cultural centre.

Overnight: Perth

Day 2: Perth to Margaret River (268km – Three hours)

Start your adventure and drive south, along the way, you might want to stop by Rockingham to swim with the dolphins or grab a bite in Mandurah. Visit the Busselton Jetty with its Underwater Observatory and try the locally hand-made ice cream using jersey milk from local farmers then travel onto the quaint coastal town of Dunsborough.

Heading south to Margaret River, Western Australia’s premium wine growing region, check-in to your hotel and visit some of the local wineries or the limestone caves and have dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants in town.

Overnight: Margaret River

A spectacular view is possible from the 600-metre canopy bridge, Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, 40 metres above the forest floor.
