A luxurious safari camp located along the route of the annual wildebeest migration in Tanzania has been named the world’s best hotel and resort by readers of CN Traveler magazine – the second time a safari lodge in Africa has taken the coveted top spot.
Singita Grumeti, set along the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, was given the top honour in CN Traveler’s 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards, with guests giving it a near-perfect score of 99.7.
Last year, Londolozi, Sabi Sands, South Africa, a safari camp in South Africa’s Kruger National Park was given the distinction.

The Singita Explore offers guests the most intimate safari experience, as guests can literally pack up tent and move to gain the best game viewing vantage points.
Guests who choose the mobile glamping option can also dine in the middle of Serengeti.
The most luxurious of the Singita Grumeti’s four lodges, the Sasakwa Lodge blends colonial British style with East African influences, and includes amenities like private infinity pools and spa services.
Singita Faru Faru Lodge is set near the river and plains and styled after a traditional botanist’s camp with a mix of contemporary and organic materials.
Singita Sabora Tented Camp allows guests to time travel back to the 1920s, in an explorer camp designed to evoke the sense of nostalgic adventure.
The Singita Faru Faru Lodge is built on a gently sloping hill to offer sweeping views of the Tanzanian Serengeti, and the annual migration of more than a million wildebeest.
