Harvest Festival season in Sabah and Sarawak (Pesta Kaamatan and Gawai Dayak, respectively) takes a heartfelt turn in a new festive video by AirAsia which highlights the virtues of family ties and tradition.
“From sharing the joy of the harvest festival to bringing people home to their family and friends, AirAsia looks forward to celebrating the festive season with our guests,” said the airline’s branding head Rudy Khaw.
The video is titled The Girl Who Loves Rice and features Sabahan cabin crew member Solius Ingrid Gangkangon’s tale of growing up in the village with her grandparents, and her love for rice.
The three-minute production also touches on the deeper meaning of Harvest Festival for Sabahans and Sarawakians, and how it brings families together.
Kaamatan falls on May 30 and 31, while Gawai is celebrated on May 31 and June 1.
Meanwhile, with the month of Ramadan coming to an end soon, AirAsia has also released a special Hari Raya video.
The clip takes a look at the excitement of celebrating Hari Raya with family and friends, including the process of food preparation and outfit selection.
