Italian menswear house Brioni, which has made a name for itself with its luxury suiting, has called upon Hollywood legend Matt Dillon to be the face of its Autumn/Winter 2019 “Tailoring Legends” campaign.
The campaign, which was shot in New York, focuses on Matt Dillon’s “strong personality”, as well as his natural charisma and elegance.
As stated on the brand’s online platform: “Considered one of the most respected actors of his generation, Dillon reinforces the brand’s bond with Hollywood.”
The black and white shots show the American actor in a discreet plaid suit, a long wool coat, another dark suit that is at once chic and casual (worn with sneakers), and elsewhere, in a long black trench coat.
Both suiting and ready-to-wear, as well as evening wear, have been included in the Brioni Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign.
Known for his roles in The Outsiders, There’s Something About Mary, Wild Things and more recently The House That Jack Built, Dillon was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at the Oscars and Golden Globes for his 2006 performance in the feature Crash.
Dillon follows in the footsteps of Armie Hammer and Pierce Brosnan (Spring/Summer 2019), Harvey Keitel (Spring/Summer 2018), Anthony Hopkins (Autumn/Winter 2017) and Samuel L. Jackson (Spring/Summer 2017) as the face of Brioni. – AFP Relaxnews
