Uniqlo has called on its ambassador Roger Federer to show off the brand’s latest denim collection. After being appointed to the role in July last year, the tennis player is now starring in his debut campaign.
These first ads are dedicated to the Japanese brand’s new LifeWear campaign, focusing on its latest jeans collection.
With comfort at its heart, this new collection focuses on precision-engineered fits, designed for a relaxed and modern style, and advanced materials, Uniqlo explains in a news release.
To convey this notion of comfort, Federer is seen relaxing at home wearing Uniqlo EZY jeans. He is seen kicking back on his couch, reading a book, for example.
“My time off is crucial. I love getting away from it all with friends and family, going outside of the tennis box … When I select what I wear on a particular day, I put a lot of value on comfort because it’s important for me to feel relaxed all day,” he said.
An Instagram post by Uniqlo USA simply stated: “We’ve teamed up with @rogerfederer to merge his signature style with our comfortable EZY Jeans.”
