Green eyeshadow has been seeing some major runway action lately. Back in September, Byblos channelled an artsy, party-ready vibe during its Milan Spring/Summer 2019 fashion show with a look that incorporated bright green shadow and glossy lips.

One of the best beauty moments of the current Haute Couture shows goes to Jean-Paul Gaultier, whose matchy-matchy shimmering green eyeshadow and emerald dress combination made for a compelling catwalk look.

Naturally, the trend has been picked up in Hollywood. Early adopters include the actress Lucy Hale, whose August Teen Choice Awards look centered on an arresting emerald-green ringed eyeshadow, and Chloe Grace Moretz, who rocked a softer shade of green at the Venice Film Festival last year.

The trend has gained traction since the New Year, with Camilla Belle sizzling in an emerald eyeshadow at the Golden Globes, and supermodel Karlie Kloss rocking a moss green shade for a recent shoot. Social media star Kendall Jenner rang in 2019 by matching her lime green eyeliner to an equally striking top.

However, perhaps the most surprising vote of confidence for the trend came courtesy of ex-footballer David Beckham, who caused a sensation this month when he was snapped for the cover of Love Magazine sporting a thick line of deep minty-green eyeshadow with his suit, proving that this truly is a makeup trend for everyone. – AFP Relaxnews
