What are your thoughts and feelings on being appointed by Montblanc Malaysia as its first Friend of the Brand?
I’m thrilled to be the very first Montblanc Malaysia Friend of the Brand!
It’s been a wonderful collaboration over the past four years and it is definitely more fruitful to bring the relationship one level up being officially appointed.
How do you feel your personality and image gel/go with the brand’s DNA?
Always embrace challenges and the unexpected, have a strong determination to strive through and keep exploring – that’s what I find makes me relevant to Montblanc, a Maison that has been continuously pushing the boundaries to new heights.
What are you working on at the moment? (current projects, professionally and on a personal level)?
I’ve just released a new song airing on all major digital music platforms. The music video will also be released very soon.
Also in the pipeline for release are two more drama series, Love and Passion and One Boat, One World. On top of that, I’m currently filming a new period drama where I am acting as a merman.
What are some of your most memorable roles, and which one do you consider your most recent success and why?
The high imperial guard Hai Lan Cha from the Story of Yanxi Palace is definitely a role I’ll remember forever because it gave me such a good start in China’s entertainment industry and made me known throughout Asia.
Another role I’ll always remember is Xiao Bao from 118 drama. I had a really good time working on that role.
Finally, what is luxury to you?
I think luxury can be defined from different aspects, beyond the ownership of luxury goods to experiences and lifestyle. There is the appreciation, attention and enjoyment that makes it a luxury item.
Luxury is about the excellent quality paired with the finest craftsmanship that gives birth to a masterpiece that withstands the test of time.
In reference to experiences and lifestyle, luxury to me means memorable moments I cherish from my travels and with family, friends and loved ones. Most importantly, luxury is freedom.
