Cartier, in partnership with INSEAD Business School and McKinsey & Company, has supported women entrepreneurs leading for-profit businesses that are financially sustainable and impact-driven.
In order to further increase the programme’s impact, the 2019 Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards competition is expanding into a seventh region. From now on, Asia-Pacific will be divided into two separate regional entities: Far East Asia and Southeast Asia.
Therefore, 21 finalists representing seven regions (Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, Far East Asia, Southeast Asia) will be announced in February 2019.
The seven laureates will be awarded US$100,000 (RM406,500) in prize money, and the remaining 14 finalists, US$30,000 (RM121,950). All of them can look forward to receiving the option to attend an INSEAD Executive Program.
Launched in 2006, the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards seeks to encourage and support women entrepreneurship and thus highlight women’s contribution to the global economy.
Since its creation, over 16,000 women from around the world have applied, 198 businesses creating over 6000 jobs, from 49 countries have been supported by nearly 400 jury members and coaches.
The call for applications for the 2019 edition of the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards will close on August 31, 2018 at 2pm (CEST).
