Just last year, Bell & Ross launched its first-ever square diving watch. The BR 03-92 Diver offers the perfect solution when exploring an environment that is as fascinating as it is dangerous.
Two new versions, the BR 03-92 Diver Blue and Bronze, mark the start of the model as a collection in its own right. They also write a new chapter in the story of the watchmaker’s relationship with the oceanic world.
Following the Hydromax designed in 1997, the two-counter Diver 300 Chronograph in 2002 and the BR 02 range launched in 2007, the BR 03-92 Diver made a strong impression in the diving world with its iconic lines.
Beyond its blue dial, rubber strap and aluminum insert on the bezel, the BR 03-92 Diver Blue version aims to achieve maximum legibility with indices coated in White SuperLuminova and a yellow hour hand.
Underwater, the colours vanish one after the other due to the loss of light intensity. The yellow hour hand will therefore fade away to give precedence to the minute hand, which must be visible to ensure the diver’s safety.
This new colour combination, paired with the emblematic square shape of the BR collections, gives the BR 03-92 Diver Blue a bold and sporty yet attractive aesthetic.
The BR 03-92 Diver Bronze however, evokes the historical roots of underwater exploration. Its case and bezel are made from bronze, a material used in the past for diving helmets.
Although inalterable, bronze can form a patina with time, gaining a unique shade over the years. The allusion to the origins of underwater adventures can be seen on the case-back thanks to an engraving of a diver.
The aged leather strap confirms the watch’s authentic vintage spirit, but can be replaced with a rubber strap for use while diving. Boasting exceptional technical and aesthetic qualities, this model is issued as a limited edition of 999 pieces.
As professional diving instruments, both timepieces are efficient companions to divers under any conditions and meet the specific requirements of underwater use, in addition to their design.
The BR 03-92 Diver Blue and Bronze are water resistant up to depths of 300 meters and driven by a Swiss self-winding mechanical movement with proven robustness and accuracy.
The cases are equipped with a 60-minute calibrated uni-directional rotating bezel, whose luminescent dot at 12 o’clock is used to set time references. Designed for professional use, the bezels allow immediate calculation of the time spent underwater.
