British actress Felicity Jones has been named the global brand face for Japanese luxury skincare and makeup brand Cle de Peau Beaute.

The 34-year-old star is known internationally for her Oscar-, Golden Globe- and BAFTA-nominated role as Jane Hawking, the wife of Stephen Hawking (played by Eddie Redmayne) in The Theory Of Everything. She also led the cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as main character Jyn Erso.

Jones is aspirational and highly relatable, making her the ideal face for Cle de Peau Beaute. She takes over from American actress Amanda Seyfried, who was the face for the brand, as part of a strategic relaunch.

Oxford-educated Jones next stars in the role of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the biopic On The Basis Of Sex, which focuses on the career struggles of the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and her fight for equal rights.

Jones will also star in the film adaptation of the ballet story Swan Lake, directed by Luca Guadagnino. And she is set to appear in Cle de Peau Beaute’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign, shot in London by renowned British photographer David Sims.

“It’s important to me that my values align with any brand I’m affiliated with,” says Jones. “Cle de Peau Beaute made it clear that they approached me because of my principles and dedication. I’m so proud of the Spring/Summer 2018 campaign and cannot wait to unveil it to the world.”
