Sulwhasoo Essentrue Deep Nourishing Body Cream EX, RM280
Is the mid-30s a good age to embark on an anti-ageing skincare regime? If yes, then this product is a great way to get started. As suggested, I applied the cream after a shower and was happy to find my skin still soft and supple hours later. That must be the honey, pine nut oil, lotus fruit oil, Camellia oil, Prunus mume oil and apricot kernel oil infused in the product doing their lovely magic. The cream has a luxurious feel and texture, is easy to apply and isn’t greasy to the touch. The best part? It doesn’t have an overpowering scent, so that’s another plus point right there. – Sharmila Nair
Biotherm Aquasource Everplump Night, RM215
I love my sleeping masks as when you’re just too tired or need a pick-me-up, you can just put this on, go to sleep and wake up with almost-perfect skin. So this was great as this entire month has been crazy and I needed all the help I can get. What’s interesting is that it has an active ingredient which is a dark cultivated algae that works at night. It locks in moisture thoughout the night and helps to replenish and boost your skin’s recovery. The gel is deep blue and kind of bouncy when you touch it. You don’t need much and it feels wonderful when you apply it. Love the light scent and my skin felt incredibly smooth the next day. This one makes it to my must-have sleep mask list! – Dzireena Mahadzir
Ren Atlantic Kelp & Magnesium Salt Exfoliating Body Scrub, RM119-RM199
To be honest, when I read “Atlantic Kelp”, I was a little worried. Did I really want to exfoliate with large brown algae seaweed? What made me change my mind was the fact that it promised to fight fatigue – which I am drenched in, believe me. So I massaged the white scrub (pleasant to touch and smell) into my skin and soaked in my tub. And I am pleased to say this was a luxurious little experiment. Apparently the Atlantic Kelp & Magnesium harness the goodness of the sea giving your skin instant hydration. To be sure, my skin felt satiny-smooth, polished and the anti-fatigue essential oils were soothing. My skin is especially sensitive to sunlight, and almost always feels dry, worn and sallow. So Ren’s was a nice boost. PS: This product is also suitable for vegans. – Ann Marie Chandy
Acca Kappa Green Mandarin Hydrating & Purifying Body Water, RM140
It is easy to fall in love with this product, especially with its light, refreshing and hydrating feel. It has a fresh citrus scent of green mandarin with the musky hints of rose and jasmine. I like how it helps to re-energise the body and mind, while revitalising and hydrating my skin. Best used after a shower, when skin is still moist. I also carry it to the office, as a nice prep up especially when my skin feels dehydrated due to exposure to air-conditioning. If you’re looking for a product to calm you down after a long day, this body water could be the answer. – Sheela Chandran
Body Shop French Lavender Massage Oil, RM99
Whether you’re the masseur or the person on the receiving end, using this oil can be a calming experience for both parties. The soothing aroma of lavender almost instantly puts both parties at ease. As an essential oil, the relaxing scent makes you feel calm and is meant to give you a feeling of tranquility. It glides on with ease and as long as you have the right moves, your massage session will relax the both of you. It isn’t overly greasy, however this also means a lot of it is required for a single session. – Nasa Maria Entaban
Bath & Body Works Lavender And Sandalwood Body Lotion, RM65
A product with sandalwood is not something I would normally select from the body lotion aisle when I go shopping. However, this is by far one of the best body lotions I have used this year. I can’t get enough of the soothing, sweet and spicy aroma of the cream, which by the way, absorbs really well into skin. A bonus is, after applying it at night, there is still a pleasant, lingering smell on my skin in the morning. After using it for about a week, I also noticed that my skin surprisingly did feel smoother. This lotion will certainly be part of my gift idea list from now. – Wong Li Za
L’Occitane Aromachologie Relaxing Shower Gel, RM95
I am a big fan of L’Occitane products so I was a bit disappointed with this shower gel. I hardly got a whiff of its main ingredients which include lavender, bergamot, sweet orange and geranium during shower time. In fact, the scent hardly lingered; once I stepped out of the bathroom, I don’t quite remember the scent, and nothing stays on the skin. However, because the product is made of essential oil, the gel does leave your skin smooth post shower. – Gordon Kho
Caudalie Beauty Elixir, RM199
This Beauty Elixir is definitely a relaxing and calming elixir. It is to be sprayed on before moisturiser or anytime for an energising sensation, and it can also be applied between your foundation and powder to set makeup. Its ingredients are full of natural goodies from bitter orange, rosemary leaf oil, peppermint oil, balm mint leaf oil, to grape fruit extract, to clarify and brighten complexion. After spraying several pumps of mist on my face a strong peppermint scent hugs my skin and I feel a refreshingly cool tingling feeling that lasts a little while. With repeated use throughout the day skin feels softer and moisturised. It’s so addictively refreshing and I absolutely love it. Apparently, it’s also a great aftershave for men. – Sandra Low
