Are you intimidated by the idea of applying glue to the base of your lashes so that you can attach eyelash extensions? Or maybe you have sensitive skin and eyes, so glue is not your favourite option?
Your eyelash extension experience can now be elevated to a new level with the introduction of magnetic lashes.
One Two Cosmetics, a South California-based company, has created groundbreaking lashes that clip on with a magnet.
Inventor of the magnetic lash and founder of One Two Cosmetics, Katy Stoka says in her website: “For years, I was constantly looking for a simple way to get great lashes. It was always so hard and time consuming. So one day – yes, this is a shower story – I was in the shower and it came to me.”
According to Stoka, the magnetic One Two Lash is the world’s first and only magnetic lash, with no glue, no mess and no damage to natural lashes, which is patent-pending.
“When I invented the magnetic eyelash, I knew women all around the world would love it, because it gives you gorgeous lashes in seconds. I spent years perfecting and patenting One Two Lash’s unique design, so don’t be fooled by “imposter” lashes made with flimsy materials and weak, bulky magnets,” Stoka said in her website.
These magnetic lashes come in three variants, Original, Bold and Accent.
Their bestseller is the Original, which adds length and volume without that “false lash” effect. The Bold lashes offer a daring length and volume, while the Accent gives the outer corners of your lash line a flirty lift.
These lashes are handcrafted with the highest-quality synthetic fibres in their Southern California production facility.
With proper care, each set of lashes are reusable. Just store them in its casing, be gentle when applying and removing them, and ensure your lashes are removed before bathing or washing your face.
They advise against applying mascara on the One Two Lash but if there is residue from the mascara coat on your natural lashes, just wipe it clean with a wet tissue.
In her “How to apply” video Stoka places the lashes on effortlessly with her fingers, but in reality it takes some practice as seen on several Youtube reviews of the One Two Lash.
When Youtuber Stephanie Ledda applied the lashes with metal tweezers she found it hard to position it correctly, and then realised that the tweezers may be interrupting the magnetic force from the lash’s magnet!
The verdict? Some reviewers love it for its instant fuller lash results, reusability and no glue mess, while others are not loving it due to the difficulty in aligning the lashes to be clipped together with the magnet.
Whatever you do while you’re wearing the One Two Lash, never ever stand near a magnetised structure or you might find them gone in one, two seconds!
