For a touch of whimsy, look to Burberry’s latest Beasts collection. The designs are inspired by illustrations of fictional birds and animals found in medieval English manuscripts.

The small leather goods category features the creatures as beautiful appliques and prints. They appear on bags, as well as key charms, wallets, cardholders, coin cases and pouches.

In ready-to-wear, they come in the form of embroidered motifs on the classic Burberry cashmere scarf and leather appliques on jersey sweaters and capes. Jacquard beasts appear on a small range of ties, too.

Each design was conceived, hand-drawn and illustrated in the Burberry design studio in London. The embellishments for the leather accessories are even finished with hand-painted edges.

The Beasts prints are worked into the ready-to-wear range, too.
