Mick Jagger is 73 and he’s still making little people. The great-grandfather and singer of the Rolling Stones recently saw the birth of his eighth child, this one with 29-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick.
According to the Daily Mail, Jagger’s publicist released a statement, saying “Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York and they are both delighted. Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”
That was super nice of him to be there.
Jagger has a daughter, 46-year-old Karis Hunt Jagger, from his relationship with Marsha Hunt. He also has a 45-year-old daughter Jade Jagger, with ex-wife Bianca.
He and longtime partner Jerry Hall have four kids: Elizabeth, 32, James, 31, Georgia, 24, and Gabriel, 18. Since we’re here, he also has a 17-year-old son with Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez.
Jagger and Hamrick started dating after Jagger’s partner of 13 years, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, committed suicide in 2014. Jagger isn’t the only Stone still spry enough to contribute to the world population problems. Bandmate Ron Wood, 69, fathered twins with wife Sally Humphreys six months ago.
C’mon. You know you love these guys. Wood said in an interview a month after the girls were born that Jagger was one of the first people to meet them. Be careful. They might end up dating him.
Wood told Hello! magazine: “Mick popped in on the third day. He couldn’t wait to see them, I put one in each arm and took a photo.”
