The world reacts to the shocking attacks in Paris, condemning the the multiple attacks in the French capital.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called the attacks “outrageous” and that Malaysia’s thoughts and prayers are with the victims.

US President Barack Obama said this at a White House statement.

Other world leaders offered their condolences and solidarity in the news.

Facebook also reacted to the attacks by offering the Safety Check page so that people in Paris would be able to tell their loved ones that they are OK.

On social media, people have been tweeting and sending out messages with the hashtag “porte ouverte”, meaning open door. This is to ask Parisians to open their homes to those who need shelter and refuge following the attacks.
