Vertigo sufferers will want to peek through their fingers for this one: Two French daredevils have broken the record for the highest BASE jump after leaping from the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

The heart-stopping stunt was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube on April 22. It has since gone viral, attracting almost two and a half million views in three days.

Despite falling from a height of 828m at head-spinning speeds, duo Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen engaged in a carefully choreographed jump that involved clasping hands mid-fall and entering a controlled spin for the benefit of cameras.
