Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has won the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2018 under the Office category for Bangunan Ibu Pejabat PKNS, its platinum rating Green Building Index (GBI) office in the heart of the capital of Selangor.

This new environmentally-friendly PKNS building is designed with a modern concept and comes complete with high-tech infrastructure, as well as an ideal rooftop landscape that gives a view of the Shah Alam skyline.

Within its four building blocks with 320,312 sq ft of space reside state of the art facilities and amenities that befit its contemporary design of work space. It comprises an auditorium, business centre, multipurpose hall and a childcare centre.

Other components including an advanced fitness centre, a tranquil prayer space, an exciting mini museum, an executive library, and a cosy café for employees and visitors alike complete the well-being of its occupants.

It is also equipped with high-speed Internet, as well as aesthetic and safety features that are in line with environmental conservation efforts.

It has received multiple local and international awards including the Green Large Building category winner in ASEAN Energy Award 2018, ‘Commercial Project Award’ and ‘Sustainability Project Award from Dubai City Scape Global, Office Development Malaysia in the Asia Pacific Property Awards Development 2013/2014, and Best GBI Rated Corporate Office in the Prestigious Developer’s Award 2017.

Recognised with the Platinum Design Assessment from the GBI accreditation panel, it has awarded the Gold Award in the “commercial low rise” category from the Architects Association of Malaysia, President Award & Honour Award Professional Category Landscape Design Award Malaysia Project for Landscape Design Award Malaysia Project from Institute of Landscape Architect Malaysia (ILAM), National Energy Awards 2018 for Energy Efficiency (Green Building) and Energy Efficient Design category from Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change, MIP Planning Excellence Awards 2018 for Low Carbon City Awards (Government Initiatives) and Innovative Planning Awards (Technology Planning).
