Carlsberg is giving you the chance to do just that. In conjunction with its 170th global anniversary, Carlsberg Malaysia has launched the Probably the Best Brewery Tour campaign, which will reward 20 consumers with an exclusive, all-expenses-paid trip to explore Carlsberg’s 170 years of beer discoveries in its homeland in Copenhagen.
1,800 other consumers will get a VIP brewery tour at Carlsberg Malaysia’s brewery in Shah Alam, Selangor.
“The 170th anniversary of Carlsberg is a chance for us to pay tribute to the beer that is ‘always sharing’,” said Lars Lehmann, managing director of Carlsberg Malaysia. “It is all about the science that comes from beer knowledge and the art that brews high quality beers from natural ingredients.”
Carlsberg recently hosted the VIP brewery tour for members of the media, and revealed the first batch of winners.
Invited into a normally a restricted area, guests on the brewery tour in Shah Alam get to see, touch, smell and taste beer. At the sensory experience room, they will be briefed on the aroma of hops, the taste profile of yeast and the look of beer liquid with and without purification. Throughout the tour, supply chain director Piotr Zajac will share the art of brewing a quality Carlsberg beer from natural ingredients – malt, hops, yeast and water.
“Nowadays, there are more discerning beer drinkers who care about what makes a lager or stout. They want to know what the ingredients used are, and how it is made,” said Zajac. “Inviting consumers into our brew house to learn more about the natural quality ingredients and the art of brewing, bottling and packaging is an excellent way to showcase our brews.”
The Carlsberg Malaysia Probably the Best Brewery Tour campaign runs from now until July 31. To enter, simply purchase a Carlsberg 640ml bottle or Carlsberg Smooth Draught 580ml bottle, from any participating coffee shops, food courts, hawker centres and Chinese restaurants, and look at the bottle caps.
If the bottle cap has the “Carlsberg Malaysia 2017” icon printed, you win the first prize of a Probably the Best Brewery Tour for six in Shah Alam.
If your bottle cap has the “Copenhagen 2017” icon printed on it instead, then you’ll win the global grand prize – the Probably the Best Brewery Tour for two to Copenhagen, Denmark.
You can also enter by spending a minimum of RM30 in a single receipt on Carlsberg or Carlsberg Smooth Draught from selected outlets, and answering a simple question via WhatsApp or WeChat.
