THE Star People’s Food Awards this month, which features the Best Nasi Lemak category, has garnered 24 nominations from our readers’ choice of favourite nasi lemak stalls and eateries.

The nasi lemak served at Village Park Restaurant in Damansara Utama has received the most endorsements under The Star People’s Food Awards category for Best Nasi Lemak.

Village Park Restaurant in Damansara Utama is top on the list with 19 endorsements, followed by Nasi Lemak Bumbung in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya (12 endorsements), Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa in KL (11 endorsements) and RichBole by PappaRich in Ampang Point (10 endorsements).

The other nominees are Restoran Devi’s Corner in Bangsar, Little Cravings in Bandar Utama, Wong Soon Kee coffee shop in Subang Jaya, Restoran SS2 Murni in SS2, the nasi lemak stall near Bukit Bintang market, Restoran Nasi Lemak Lido in Klang, Simply Noodles in SS2, Nasi Lemak Cikgu in Kelana Jaya, Cafe Barbera in Bangsar, MM Cafe at Happy Mansion in PJ, Nasi Lemak Kukus Kangkung FAM in Kelana Jaya, Heritage Village at Paradigm Mall, Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock Kopitiam in Ara Damansara, Chong Hwa Restaurant in Danau Kota, Foodlover Cafe at Happy Mansion in PJ, Ketam Nasi Lemak in Klang, Nasi Lemak Ujang Corner in Gombak, Nasi Lemak Tanglin in KL, Nasi Lemak Warisan Opah in Subang Jaya and Nasi Lemak Mami in Klang.

Warung Nasi Lemak Opah, which always has a long queue of customers, is also a nominee.

From Nov 1 to 10, people logged on to Metro Online Broadcast ( to nominate their favourite nasi lemak eateries. By doing this, they stand a chance to win attractive prizes such as hotel stays and dining vouchers.

Those who nominate, vote or successfully share a link are automatically entered into a race to win prizes.

Nominations are open for the first 10 days of the month, followed by voting from Nov 15 to 30.

The Star People’s Food Awards is a monthly contest that recognises the best street food in the Klang Valley.

Every month until May next year, the public can vote for the best category-based street food such as nasi lemak (November) or char koay teow (December) via MOB.
