Famous restaurant chain Quanjude exhibits over 500 items from its 150-year history.

A museum dedicated to one of China’s most iconic foods, roast duck, has opened in Beijing.

To fete its 150th anniversary and promote the brand, restaurant chain Quanjude, which has served its signature roast duck to dignitaries and heads of state, opened the doors to the museum that features more than 500 items over 1,000sqm, reported The Wall Street Journal’s China Real Time blog.

Exhibits at the museum located at the chain’s Hepingmen branch include photos of US President Richard Nixon tucking into the duck alongside Mao Zedong and displays illustrating how the dish is prepared.
