Set to air in conjuction with National Sports Day on Oct 8, a documentary called Kami Luar Biasa will shed light on the stories and backgrounds of Malaysian Paralympics athletes featuring interviews with family members and coaches.

At the recent Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi won the gold medal in the Athletics Men’s 100m T36 (cerebal palsy) event; Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli won gold in the men’s shot put event F20 (learning disability) and set a new world record for hurling the shot to a distance of 16.84m; Abdul Latif Romly won gold medal in the men’s long jump T20 (learning disability) event and also set the world record with 7.6m jump.

Before the documentary premieres on Oct 8, catch Nadi @ 1: Edisi Wira-Wira Luar Biasa Negara on Astro Arena (Ch 801/802) on Sept 25. The hour-long programme hosted by Edleen Ismail will feature exclusive interviews with Ridzuan, Latif, Ziyad and coach R. Jeganathan.

Siti Noor Radiah Ismail who won a bronze medal for her achievement in the women’s long jump T20 (learning disability) event will also be featured in the programme.

Kami Luar Biasa premieres on Oct 8 at 9pm on Astro Arena (Ch 801/802).
