HBO Asia’s fourth original TV series, Halfworlds, is getting a lot of buzz on the Internet these days.

On Sept 26, the first trailer for the show was unveiled at the Jakarta ComicCon in Indonesia, as well as on the Halfworlds Facebook page. The reaction to the one-and-a-half-minute trailer has so far been encouraging, with a number of people already congratulating Halfworlds writer/director Joko Anwar on his work.

Recently, HBO Asia announced that the eight-episode Halfworlds will premiere on Nov 29; the pilot will also be streamed on Facebook shortly after that.

To top it all off, special behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes will be made available on Facebook for fans. Halfworlds follows the story of an underground society of demons known as the Demits who are living among “normal folks” in Jakarta.

According to the production notes, as the dark thriller unfolds, “this delicate balance is disrupted and will bring mortals and demits hurtling towards their destiny.”

At the Jakarta ComicCon, the Halfworlds panel was attended by HBO Asia’s head of programming and production Erika North, Joko and the show stars: Malaysian Bront Palarae (Terbaik Dari Langit), and Indonesians Arifin Putra (The Raid 2), Aimee Saras (Onrop), Adinia Wirasti (Tentang Dia), Tara Basro (Pendekar Tongkat Emas), Alex Abbad (The Raid 2), Ario Bayu (Soekarno), and Verdi Solaiman (The Raid).
