US actress Megan Fox has accepted a recurring role on the Fox sitcom New Girl, according to Deadline.

Fox will play a pharmaceutical sales representative who comes into town on business and rents out Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) room in the sixth season of the comedy, which debuts in January.

New Girl creator and executive producer Liz Meriwether said the part of Reagan was written with Fox in mind.

While Fox has since made the jump to film, the actress got her start in television with the series Hope And Faith. She can be seen in such films as Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and This Is 40. – AFP Relaxnews
