Ronan Keating is a very happy man and it shows in his latest album Time Of My Life.

The 39-year-old Keating has found love again, marrying TV producer Storm Uechtritz last year after his divorce with ex-wife with Yvonne Connolly was finalised.

It’s no wonder the air is thick with love throughout the 12-track release, with the former Boyzone member delivering one sweet syrupy love song after another. He sings about becoming a better person because of his lover in Breathe and Keep It Simple, love’s ability to conquer it all in As Long As We’re In Love, and everlasting love in Grow Old With Me.

And it doesn’t get more peachy and blissful than the fairytale-come-true Landslide, with Keating taking us inside his picture-perfect wedding day.

There’s nothing wrong with his sunny disposition, but I wish there were also songs about anguish and heartbreaks. After all, it is these subjects that bring the most out of emotional intensity.

Only in the final track, Keating’s cover of Falling Slowly, a song about a relationship on the rocks featuring with The Shires, does the singer draw from this pain. For the most part, Time Of My Life is very lovey-dovey.
