Time to take the ripped jeans, over-sized T-shirt and sneakers out from storage, folks. US rock band Bon Jovi is said to make a return to Malaysia for a concert this September!

Bon Jovi is currently made up of lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres. Guitarist Richie Sambora, who had been with the band since the beginning in 1983, left in 2013 and was never officially replaced.

Sources say that the band is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 19, before heading to Singapore for a show in conjunction with the Formula Grand Prix event the next day.

There is no word yet on where the concert will be held in KL, although Stadium Merdeka and the Sepang International Circuit are being considered.

Although the three members are over the age of 50 (Torres is 61) – ‎they are still active in the entertainment scene, especially Jon. The singer-songwriter is set to go on a solo tour next month, performing mostly acoustic sets.

Bon Jovi last played in Malaysia on May 4, 1995 at the Shah Alam Stadium. ‎

The band is known for international hits I’ll Be There For You, Livin’ On A Prayer, Always, Blaze Of Glory, You Give Love A Bad Name and of course, It’s My Life.

This story is developing, more updates on the show in Malaysia coming soon.
