Media Prima Television Network’s TV3 has put together new series, telefilms and ground events to commemorate the upcoming months of Ramadan and Syawal.
Audiences can look forward to tearjerker dramas, cooking shows that would make your stomach growl, and laugh-out-loud comedies just to name a few.
At the press conference to launch the Ramadan Raya programmes and events, the station also revealed this year’s theme: “Setulus Ikhlas” (sincerely). It is said to be a friendly reminder that one should do everything with an open heart and sincerity.
The event was attended by local celebrities who have signed up to be ambassadors of the #Setulusikhlas campaign. Among them were Syafiq Kyle, Nabila Razali, husband and wife duo – Aeril Zafril and Wawa Zainal – Mimi Lana, Zara Zya as well as Hairul Azreen. They will be participating in various activities throughout the Ramadan month, not only on TV and social media, but also at ground events and charity activities organised by the station.
One of the events is the Grand Bazaar Ramadan Raya happening at Bulatan Bazarena, Shah Alam Stadium, from May 4 to June 2 (Booth 134), and at Bukit Jalil Stadium from May 16 to June 5 (Booth 436).

Every Saturday, 5.30pm
Famous Malaysian personalities open up their homes and invite viewers to prepare dishes to berbuka puasa with them. Watch these personalities come up with yummy dishes with their family as well as updating fans on the latest happenings in their lives. This show features Aesyah London, Siti Sarah and Shuib, Atu Zero, Achey, Wany Hasrita, Afieq Shazwan, Tajul and Rita Rudaini.
1, 2 Bakar Kuih Raya
Every Sunday, 11.30am
A six-episode series hosted by Chef Anis Nabilah. Anis and her celebrity guests, comprising Kaka Azraff, Saharul Ridzwan, Ben Amir, Daiyan Trisha, Altimet and Zara Zya will bake Raya cookies and food.
Every Sunday, 6pm
Visit Indonesia, Turkey and Spain with Da’i Raisyah, Da’i Syafiqah, Da’i Haziq and Da’i Imran. They don’t only give backpacking tips, but also share relevant verses from the Quran.
Ever since their parents were sentenced to death for distributing drugs, Pia has been taking care of her younger brother, Budi, who’s diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Although life is difficult, Pia and Budi manage. Trouble starts when Zafran, who’s in love with Pia, wants to marry her but isn’t too caring about Budi. The 15-episode drama stars Zara Zya, Alif Satar, Naim Daniel, Sheila Rusly and Azira Shafinaz.

Ajak Oh Ijal
Premieres May 6, Mon-Fri, 6.30pm
Revolves around two brothers who are involved in illegal activities for 11 months in a year. They only behave during Ramadan when they go back to their hometown to help mum at Ramadan bazaar. However, things get heated up this year when they fall for the same girl. Chef Fikree, Syazwan Zulkifly and Intan Najuwa lead the cast of this 18-episode serial.
Diari Ramadan Rafique Reunion
Premieres May 12, 9pm
After more than a decade, Diari Ramadan Rafique returns to TV. This nostalgic drama revolves around the ties of family and would surely bring back all the memories you had in 2007. Rafique is now 19 years old and is operating his own car workshop. Some of the original cast members from 12 years ago return to reprise their roles including Normah Damanhuri, Rozita Che Wan and Zed Zaidi.

Follow the lives of couple Ikmal and Azah as they go through the ups and downs of married life. This telemovie stars Ashraf Muslim, Intan Ladyana, Nik Adam Mika, Sheila Mambo and Hasnul Rahmat.

The main character is a hearse driver named Husin. One day, while driving the body of Pak Tam – who died after eating too many durians – the van breaks down on an isolated road. Then the weirdest thing happens: Pak Tak wakes up and asks for durian!

After his wife falls ill, Zul decides to just focus on his work and take care of his wife. Due to his one-minded attitude, Zul’s children can longer experience the fun things in life. This includes celebrating the joyous month of Syawal. The children decides to show their father that it is OK to have a little fun and not be dour when life throws them a curve ball. Starring Nad Zainal, Datuk Fizz Fairuz, Puteri Syahadah and Muhammad Hadi Putra.
