The Umbrella Academy
On the same October day in 1989, 43 women all across the globe gave birth. But get this, they weren’t pregnant when the day began. Six of these mysterious children, all gifted with superhuman abilities, were then adopted and raised by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves.
Over the years, the fractured relationship between the siblings and their father drove them apart. Now in their 30s, the children reunite after receiving news of their father’s passing. They also learn a global apocalypse is fast approaching, and the siblings must put their differences aside to save the world. Starring Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Mary J. Blige, Kate Walsh and more.
The Umbrella Academy premieres Feb 15 on Netflix.
The Voice Season 16
We’re looking forward to John Legend on Season 16 of American singing series The Voice, as he joins Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson as coach. Legend will be replacing Jennifer Hudson, who will serve as coach on The Voice UK instead. It’ll be nice to hear what advice the multi-talented artiste – who is the first African American man to achieve EGOT status (having won at the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards) – has to offer to this new crop of contestants.
The Voice S16 premieres Feb 26 at 2pm and 8pm on Foxlife (Astro Ch 711).
