Avengers: Endgame. That’s the title of the upcoming Avengers 4, the upcoming movie that sees the Marvel Cinematic Universe picking up the pieces of Thanos’ snap during Avengers: Infinity War, which wiped out half the living creatures in the entire universe.
It starts off with Tony Stark drifting through space, with no food, no water, and less than a day of oxygen left. “Part of the journey is the end,” he says in a recording to Pepper Potts.
It’s an incredibly bleak beginning to the trailer, as it should be, considering the devastating consequences of Thanos’ snap. As the trailer goes on, we see Black Widow, Captain America and Thor, each dealing with the grief in their own way.
There’s also the return of two heroes who were absent from Infinity War: Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man, (whom we learnt was stick in the quantum realm during the snap, from Ant-Man And The Wasp post-credits scene) and Clint Barton. Only Clint isn’t Hawkeye anymore – he’s in costume as the black-clad Ronin!
The trailer is short, poignant, and sets up the closing chapter of the Avengers saga perfectly. May 2019 can’t come sooner.
