After Z Storm (2014) and S Storm (2016), there is now L Storm with Louis Koo reprising the role of Investigator William Luk, an agent with Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).

Julian Cheung, who was introduced in S Storm also makes his return as Chief Inspector Lau Po Keung. In this third instalment, Luk and Lau are investigating a money laundering case, with gangsters and politicians as suspects.

However, they are unable to catch a break. The stakes gets higher when Luk receives suspension notice with the suspicion of receiving a bribe. Is that even possible?

The problem is the case against him has a solid witness – a model (Stephy Tang) who lodged a complaint with Inspector Kenny Ching (Kevin Cheng) of ICAC’s Internal Investigation Group. Fortunately for Luk, Lau believes in him and sets out to nab the person who framed Luk. Co-starring Adam Pak, Patrick Tam and Ding Haifeng.

L Storm opens at cinemas nationwide on Aug 23.
