The music scene was abuzz recently when powerhouse couple Beyonce and Jay-Z released a new, nine-track collaborative album titled Everything Is Love.

If there was a list of celebrity couples who have successfully combined love and business, Beyoncé and Jay-Z would fit comfortably on the top of that list.

But they are not the only ones around.

Here are five other celebrity couples who are lifelong partners in marriage and in business.

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

The first time Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson met was on the sitcom Bosom Buddies in which Hanks played the lead role.

At that time, he was married to his college sweetheart. It wasn’t after he split from his first wife that he felt an attraction to Wilson. They met again on the set of the film Volunteers.

“Rita and I just looked at each other and – kaboing – that was that,” Hanks told GQ. “I asked Rita if it was the real thing for her, and it just couldn’t be denied.”

The couple has been together for 30 years. Wilson has been a key player in the production company Playtone Entertainment which Hanks owns. In fact, it was her idea to produce My Big Fat Greek Wedding which became a box office hit.

When asked for advice for couples who are looking to get married, Hanks said to People magazine: “No one should get married before they’re 30.” Hanks married Wilson in 1988 at age 32.

Alicia Keys & Swizz Beats

For some celebrity couples, it is through business that they first meet. When singer Alicia Keys first met hip-hop producer Swizz Beats during their teenage years, she “didn’t like him much”. Or at least that’s what she told Marie Claire UK.

It was only when they began working together that sparks flew. Swizz Beats has since produced many of Keys’ songs and together, they have worked together on records such as It’s You, International Party and New Day. The couple has two children.

What’s the key that keeps the relationship going? “The entire structure of our life, our home, our business relationships – the entire purpose is for everyone to be able to create in a way that makes them happy,” Will said in an interview with New York magazine.

Melissa McCarthy & Ben Falcone

For all of you who have watched the movie Bridesmaids, you must remember the undeniable chemistry between Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone.

The actors didn’t have to fake their chemistry as they have been married since 2005, six years before The Bridemaids was released.

The comedians are also business partners as they run their own production company which has released films like Tammy.

When asked for his secret to finding a soul mate, Falcone told Closer Weekly: “Take your time when you’re picking someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with. As long as you end up with someone kind and treat them kindly, I think it will work out.” Looks like everything worked out for the couple.

Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem

When it is meant to be, love will find its way. Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem first met during a film shoot in 1992. But it would take 15 years before the couple meet again – on the set of a Woody Allen movie – for love to blossom.

In 2010, they decided to tie the not. Marriage allowed Cruz and Bardem to embrace every opportunity to work together. They both starred in the 2013 thriller The Counselor and in Love Pablo, the 2017’s biopic about the notorious Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.

Despite working together, Bardem revealed in an interview with E! News that the pair are careful not to bring any dark mood into their home after a busy day filming.
