Dance, wonder and history come together in the Bollywood musical theatre Mystic India: World Tour.
The musical is coming to Malaysia for the first time on April 5-11, 2018 at Istana Budaya in Kuala Lumpur.
The 100-minute Mystic India tells the story of India’s transition from ancient times to present day through a series of artistic dance performances.
The extravagant showcase will feature a mix of traditional dance performances as well as upbeat modern song-dance routines set against popular Bollywood numbers.
Up to 30 dancers will perform on stage at a time and they will go through over 700 elaborate costume changes for the show.
“I feel that Malaysians have not experienced a live Bollywood performance for a long time. Mystic India is perfect for Malaysian fans as it has the right combination of nostalgia, fantasy and entertainment,” said Gavin Singh, head of promotions and events for event organiser Eeman Corporation.
Mystic India was created by Amit Shah, a US-based choreographer who has worked with Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
Since it began touring in 2011, Mystic India has performed hundreds of shows worldwide.
