The 1995 Jumanji starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst revolved around a magical board game, called Jumanji. Once someone starts playing, the elements of the game (such as a horde of animals) come to life.

There sure is a lot of standing around in this game, eh?

Some 22 years later, there is a new movie where Jumanji is now a vintage video game. Here, however, when players start the game, they are transported to a jungle-like environment – not as themselves, but – as their chosen avatars.

Worry not. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has more than enough action sequences.

Four teenagers discover the game in a basement and decide to play the game instead of cleaning up the place like they’re supposed to. Gamer Spencer’s avatar is – surprise, surprise – a brawny adventurer (Dwayne Johnson); football jock Fridge turns into, erm, Kevin Hart; popular girl Bethany becomes a middle-aged male professor (Jack Black); and wallflower Martha is now a sexy and badass warrior (Karen Gillan).

We thought it was a bad idea to revive Jumanji until we saw the extended trailer, which is just hilarious. Check it out below.
