Everyone’s favourite ginger hair crooner, Ed Sheeran, will be performing his second gig in Malaysia in November.
The concert will be held on Nov 14 at Axiata Arena (formerly known as Putra Indoor Stadium) and it is in support of his third and latest album ÷ (Divide) which was released in early March.
The album has produced hit singles such as Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill. In the first week of its release, the album sold 672,000 copies in Britain, making it the fastest-selling album by a male solo artiste there.
The 26-year-old Brit started his music career professionally when he released an independent record in 2011. The very same year, he signed to a major record label and released his debut album, + (Plus), which was certified seven-times platinum.
However, his name caught on internationally when he was picked to tour with Taylor Swift in 2013.
He has since won two Grammys and four Brit Awards. Sheeran’s songs such as Thinking Out Loud, Sing and Photograph are staples on commercial radio stations and often covered on YouTube by budding singers.
The singer first performed in Malaysia in 2015.
Tickets to Sheeran’s upcoming concert in Malaysia are priced at RM198, RM298, RM358 and RM458 (excluding GST and ticket fee) and will go on sale on May 15 at 10am from www.prworldwidelive.com. For more info, call 03-7493 3010.
