Star2.com is in California to attend the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, also known as the D23 Expo 2015!
The expo showcases all Disney-related projects and elements, like films, merchandise, TV series, Marvel Cinematic Universe and Lucasfilm, under one roof. It happens every two years; the first one was in 2009.
Star2.com got to visit the Walt Disney Studio Lot in Burbank, California on Wednesday and saw the buildings where Disney animators do their magic.
On the lot there were sound stages, one of which had the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster hung outside with a big warning that read “THIS IS A CLOSED SET!”.
We do wonder who is behind that door…
In the next few days, we will be bringing you reports from some of the events happening at D23. Chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios John Lasseter is set to host a presentation showcasing upcoming animated features from both studios.
Star2.com will get to watch never-before-seen footage from the highly-anticipated films Finding Dory, The Good Dinosaur and Zootopia (check out the teaser and trailer below).
Zenia Mucha, executive vice president and chief communications officer of the Walt Disney Company said: “No other company could host such an event and it’s because of the special relationship we began to build with our fans going back 10 years. And that relationship is critical to us, and continues to be critical to us.”
She added: “We hold the fans very dear and important to us.”
Star2.com will also get to interview some of the top people in the company including Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger as well as Walt Disney International chairman Andy Bird.
Stay tuned, folks!
