The “move it, move it” party is ready for action as Madagascar The Musical makes its way to Kuala Lumpur at the end of this year.
The world touring Madagascar The Musical, based on the hit Dreamworks Animation movie, will unload an ark’s worth of giggles and laughs at the Plenary Hall, KLCC from Dec 5-8.
Malaysia will be the first country in South-East Asia to be staging this musical, which tells the story of Alex the Lion, who is the main attraction at the Central Park Zoo.
Curious about the world outside, he and his friends – Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe – escape one day, leading to a rip-roaring adventure trail that leads them to Madagascar and the madcap King Julien, a ring-tailed lemur.
No Madagascar show is complete without the scene-stealing penguins. Fans of the Madagascar movie franchise can also look forward to catching the crafty penguin gang members – Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private – as they embark on this memorable musical adventure.
This year-end school holiday season is definitely going to be a fun and wild ride with the Plenary Hall all set to be transformed into a colourful jungle world … yes, imagine the island of Madagascar recreated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The musical, presented by Milestone Production in KL, will feature a long list of beloved songs, including Wild And Free, It’s Showtime, Foosa Hungry, Penguin Sea Shanty and, of course, I Like To Move It.
‘Madagascar The Musical’ plays at Plenary Hall in KLCC from Dec 5-8. Tickets range between RM98 and RM498. Ticketing fees apply. Early bird tickets are available until Aug 31. More info: premier.ticketcharge.com.my.
