Renowned South Korean stars Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki looked to Dior for their wedding on Oct 31. The couple wore matching creations from the French fashion house to tie the knot in Seoul.
Hye Kyo wore a breathtakingly beautiful dress epitomising the unique savoir-faire that Dior’s haute couture ateliers are rightfully famed for. Joong Ki, on the other hand, donned a Dior Homme peak lapel tuxedo.
The Atelier Flou at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, which specialises in soft dressmaking, was the location for the customised wedding dress’ careful creation by a group of supremely talented petites mains.
The actress’ personal wishes, along with inspiration drawn from the Autumn/Winter 2017 haute couture collection by artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, were combined in a dress meticulously crafted along the purest lines in silk mikado with lace embroideries.
Hye Kyo, 35, and Joong Ki, 32, are famed for playing the leading roles in military romance Descendants of the Sun. The drama tells the story of an army captain sent on a peacekeeping mission, where he meets and falls in love with a surgeon working with a NGO.
