Solange is doing it in her Calvins this holiday season.
The iconic singer has been unveiled as the star of the new Calvin Klein underwear and jeans campaign, alongside a cast of fellow musicians that she personally curated herself.
The lineup includes American artists Kelela and Caroline Polachek, British singer Dev Hynes, and British singer Adam Bainbridge of Kindness.
The cast, shot by fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre, are sporting core styles of Calvin Klein Underwear and Calvin Klein Jeans, including simple white sleeveless shirts and denim separates. The styles are currently available in stores and online.
The brand has updated its signature “#MyCalvins” tagline for this campaign, rolling out its new call to action – “Our Family. #MyCalvins.”
According to a release from the fashion house, the evolved concept “has family at its centre, a display of unity between strong individuals, further emphasised by the symbolism of the traditional American quilt.”
It adds: “This campaign captures these bonds and brings to life different ways we can inspire families – both born and made – to connect with one another, and celebrate the things that unite us.”
The new slogan will be carried on multiple campaign rollouts, running from Holiday 2017 through the Spring 2018 season.
The campaign marks the first time Solange – best known for her hit song Cranes In The Sky – has worked with Calvin Klein, but the superstar has plenty of fashion chops, having previously modelled for Michael Kors, Eleven Paris and Madewell. – AFP Relax
