Malaysian Bloc Party fans, your prayers have been answered.

The British rock band will be returning to Malaysia to perform at the inaugural SoundValley Festival 2017 on Nov 11-12.

The two-day event will be held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang, Selangor, and will also feature performances by local bands Wings, Hujan, Bunkface, May and Metalasia.

Other acts include Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, Indonesian band Barasuara, electro group Otherside Orchestra, FiftyOne50, and metalcore group Cassandra.

Bloc Party is no stranger to the Malaysian live music scene, having performed at the Future Music Festival Asia at Sepang back in 2013.

The band, which comprises lead vocalist Kele Okereke, guitarist Russell Lissack, bassist Justin Harris and drummer Louise Bartle, was formed in 1999.

It made its breakthrough in 2005 with the critically-acclaimed debut album Silent Alarm, which included hits like So Here We Are/Positive Tension, Helicopter and Banquet.

Bloc Party’s sophomore album in 2007, A Weekend In The City, was equally successful, and featured the band’s highest charting single ever, The Prayer. Its fifth and latest album Hymns was released in 2016.
