The sculpted pieces may elicit the question of whether they are tables or pieces of art.

The answer is both, which is not surprising as the tables are part of the Rozel Khayu collection of artistically crafted pieces.

“Being a furniture trendsetter, Rozel has introduced Rozel Khayu, an all-new fusion series that combines genuine premium wood, exquisitely designed with immaculate finishing to appeal to those who love the beauty of wood and are meticulous about quality furniture,” said Rozel Corporation’s managing director Gan Tai Hwa.

“Rozel Khayu is a new level of distinction that caters to the increasing number of art sculpture-cum-furniture lovers. These are people who look to beautify their homes and maximise their space with practical, unique and aesthetic-looking furniture of top range quality. Ultimately, the collection serves its function as well as being a work of art,” added Gan.

There are three main types of wood used in the collection.

The first is ash wood, whitish to light brown in colour, and is a ring-porous – in which the pores appear in a cross-section in concentric rings – hardwood.

Then there is the oak wood range, where the wood is heavy, strong and also light coloured. A popular wood used in furniture designs, it has prominent rings and large pores that give it a more course texture.

“The Walnut is our most premium range. Walnut is strong, hard and durable but not excessively heavy. It has a unique wavy, linear grain and more often comes in darker chocolate colour,” Gan said.

One of the items in the collection is a dining table with a solid ash base paired with a marble top for a classy feel.

A walnut base with a tempered glass top offers a more natural look while stainless steel adds an edgy finish to the designs.

The Rozel Khayu collection starts from RM3,990 for a dining table and goes up to RM12,000.

Rozel first established its brand more than 25 years ago with the Rozel Lifestyle collection, considered the entry level to Rozel’s luxury furniture line. This line is known for its luxurious, bovine leather and affordable pricing of between RM5,000 and RM10,000 for their sofa range.

Moving up a notch is the Rozel Signature collection which features more premium Federica leather and fine, finishing stitches. Priced between RM10,000 and RM20,000, Rozel Signature sofas appeal to the younger generation with its trendy designs and colours.

Top of the range is the Rozel Gold line with pieces manufactured from quality, soft but thick aniline leather with refined seams and stitches.

Extra wide and large to enhance the comfort level, the sofas are priced above RM20,000.

Rozel has an extensive product portfolio, offering from single sofas to complete living, dining and bedroom sets, all which can be viewed and experienced at its 16 furniture showrooms across Malaysia.
