SNIKT! After three years being stuck in an adamantium statue and seemingly dead, Wolverine is back!

Yes, the mutant who is the best at what he does is apparently not the best at staying dead. He not only made his return in the recent Marvel Legacy #1, released on Sept 27, he also gains possession of one of the Marvel universe’s most powerful relics – an Infinity Stone!

Wolverine supposedly died in the Death Of Wolverine story in 2014, losing his healing factor and then getting encased in molten adamantium. After his “death”, Laura Kinney, the former X-23, took over the costume as the All-New Wolverine.

There’s also Old Man Logan, an older version of Logan from another reality, who has also been a major player in Marvel’s X-books.

Wolverine’s return is part of the new Marvel Legacy initiative, which will apparently feature the “dramatic return of dozens of its most beloved heroes, villains, teams and artefacts in bold stories that will begin the next chapter of the Marvel Universe”, according to an official release on Marvel.com.

What part Wolverine will play in the new Marvel Legacy, as well as what he is doing with an Infinity Stone, remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, it’s good to have him back.
